Busy Multitasking While Doing Other Things
It’s been awhile since I’ve taken the time to write a blog or send a newsletter. I’ve been “busy multitasking while doing other things” – but I do want to let you know what’s been going on, since we (probably) have similar tastes in movies and books and I hope you’ll add some of these things to your to-be-watched/read stacks.
Shevenge – is a feature-length horror anthology all-female directed. I have a few short segments in it myself, plus I’m producing it and giving net profits to The Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund. Here’s the full story on Shevenge, posted by Dread Central.
The Second Age of Aquarius – is a completely original sci-fi comedy written by Darren Gordon Smith (Repo! The Genetic Opera) and will be directed by me.
Three films that I directed are now included with Amazon Prime: Fetish Factory (feature, horror/comedy), Psycho Therapy (short, psychological thriller), and The Night Plays Tricks (short, experimental/arthouse).
In the spirit of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood, I’m giving away some Kindle copies of my own Hollywood memoir, So L.A. which takes place in la-la land from the 1960s through present day. Lots of history and memories. Drop me a line if you would like a gift copy of So L.A.
Lastly, The Ventures documentary I’ve been working on with my family, Stars on Guitars, has completed principal photography and now we are in post-production. If you know of anyone who’d like to help us finish it, we still have the two modest fundraisers going on: GoFundMe (credit) and GoGetFunding (PayPal).
Thanks so much for checking this stuff out, and if you have any movie or book news I’d love to know about it as well! Drop me a line anytime.
